We are looking for poetry of all types, on all topics, but are not interested in rhyming poetry. We are looking for writing that comes from the heart, not that shows how clever you are, or how large your vocabulary is. It must, as a bottom line, come from the heart. That does not mean we are looking for syrupy, sentimental, greeting card, verse, however. We are looking for authentic, moving poetry.

We prefer work previously unpublished elsewhere, but will consider work previously published at least a year before your submission to Blue Lake Review.

Please include a short bio in the submission manager cover letter.
